Her skin is lightly tanned, but it is stained by a large burn reaching from her right shoulder and across her back. Anastasia loves hats and seems to wear a new one every day. She has slender fingers, but each finger nail is blunt due to her bad habit of biting her nails when she is nervous.
How do you like me now
Personality: Anastasia is in one word shy. She prefers to be alone in a quite, usually dark, area with a book. Anastasia hates being the center of attention and any sort of large gathering or party. She can often be found reading by herself and her favorite works to read are those by Edgar Allen Poe. She is very observant and knows more about others than they may know about themselves. At first, her connection to the dead bothered Anastasia because of how others would treat her, but over time she has learned to ignore the stares and whispers. Almost everyday Anastasia learns something new about her connection with the dead and becomes more and more fascinated with death. She does not understand why most fear death. Because of her tendency to avoid people and remain quite, Anastasia has become very stealthy. Also, since she is the daughter of Hades, she blends into the shadows easily. Anastasia has a terrible fear of heights and refuses to learn how to swim. She does, however, have a strange obsession with fire and heat in general. The one thing she hates more than anything is when others judge others. Anastasia's most devastating weakness is her inability to speak.

So whats your Story
History: Anastasia lived with her mother and step father in small town. She was never a very talkative child, but she could spend hours discussing a book in class. Anastasia and her family realized her fear of heights and swimming quickly. When she was in kindergarten, her mother signed her up for swim lessons. As soon as Anastasia saw the swimming pool, however, she immediately began to cry and beg her parents to take her home. Her fear of heights was discovered when the family planned a trip to the beach. As the plane began to take off, Anastasia had a panic attack and the family was forced to rent a car and drive back rather than fly.
When Anastasia turned thirteen, she began to notice her connection with the dead. She would always find herself in an area where a squirrel, bird, or other small creature had died. Also, Anastasia always seemed to turn on the TV when a news report was being aired on a death or murder. She kept these strange occurrences to herself because she feared her parents would take her to a doctor or simply think she was crazy. Shortly after her seventeenth birthday, disaster struck. There was a terrible thunderstorm that knocked out the power just around dinner time. The family was forced to eat cereal instead of the delicious meal Anastasia's mother had prepared for them. The family went to bed that night, making sure to blow out all the candles they had used for light. What they did not remember, however, was that when the power went out, the oven had been on. In the middle of the night, the power was restored and the unattended oven continued to run.
Anastasia does not remember much from that night other than waking up to the sound of sirens and a blazing heat surrounding her. She tried to find her parents, but in the mass of flames and thick smoke, she passed out. Anastasia woke up in the hospital a few days later with a large burn across her shoulder and back. Her parents had not been so fortunate and did not survive. When she overheard a few nurses discussing that Anastasia would have to live in foster care, she made a plan to escape. That night, Anastasia slipped out of the hospital with the few belongings that survived the fire and ran. She had no idea where she was going or why, but a voice in the back of Anastasia's mind simply urged her forward until she found herself wandering through a forest. At sunrise, Anastasia reached the entrance to Camp Half Blood and learned who she was. She has only lived in the camp for a few months and in this time period, has said nothing. Anastasia is not sure if it was the fire that caused her to become mute or her own fears, but she simply keeps her mouth closed and curls up with a book of her favorite Edgar Allen Poe poems, hoping that she will not be chosen for the Games.
