Personality: Ebony is paranoid. And morbid. And she doesn't make friends outside of the Hades kids. She doesn't trust others, she sees danger everywhere. She's not such a great person to have around. In fact, beyond being paranoid, she might be a little insane. She's always seeing shades and spirits...that's what she tells people, but no one believes her. Ebony is secretive and unstable. She even hoardes objects which she thinks bring comfort to others in an attempt to chase away her own fears. She is prone to panic attacks.

So whats your Story
Ebony's mother conceived her through prostitution...you know where Hades comes in. Ebony's mom had accidentally conceived once before, and last time, she had an abortion. However, the abortion had emotionally scarred Ebony's mom, so she decided to give birth to this child, and try to raise her. She did give birth, but she couldn't raise her. So Ebony's mom, beautiful woman, but slightly insane, exposed her young daughter in good old Roman style.
A tramp found the young baby, and decided to care for her, but he too eventually abandoned the child, Ebony never stopped crying. This happened a few times to Ebony. By the time she was five, Ebony was living completely on her own. A tramp and beggar child, on the run from authorities and from those things which had caused her to cry so much as an infant...the spirits. Ebony lived in a dark and haunted world, filled with danger from the living and the dead. On the streets, she learned to steal, defend herself, lie, and keep secrets. She was very handy with a knife.
Then, on Ebony's ninth birthday, the visions became worse. "WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE, EBONY SPECTRE. WE KNOW WHERE YOU COME FROM." By he twelfth birthday, the visions changed still more dramatically, "YOUR FATHER IS WITH US EBONY. HE SENDS A MESSAGE. TRAVEL TOWARDS THE RISING SUN. AWAIT FURTHER DIRECTIONS. FROM NOW ON, YOUR NEEDS SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR." Ebony followed the spirits' instructions for a year, finally arriving at Camp. But at the sight of so many new people, Ebony ran in fear, and the hauntings became worse.
Eventually, a couple years later, it took an actual intervention from her father to get Ebony into camp. As a parting gift, he gave her a kinfe, twisted steel, cold and lethal, on a dark and knobbly wooden hilt. The knife, Hades told her, could smite the dead as well as the living, though it would only keep the dead at bay. It could also summon him, but only in great need. As a final gift, the knife could not hurt her. Even if it fell into the hands of her worst enemy. Anyone who tried to attack her with it would damage only themselves. Ebony has only been at Camp a few months now.
